A fully fitted modern kitchen with all the desired appliances for a self-catering holiday is provided including a gas oven and hob and microwave. French doors lead from the living area onto a private sunny balcony terrace which offers a very pleasant alfresco dining area with parasol and which boasts breathtaking and direct lake and mountain views of the unspoilt eastern shore! Leading off from the open plan kitchen a spacious master bedroom with elegant double bed, bedside tables and large wardrobe is situated. Open wooden stairs leads to the mansard level above which provides guests with a second bedroom featuring a charming exposed wood sloping roof, two adult size single beds, bedside table and futon. The newly fitted bathroom features pretty peach tiling, a stand-alone shower and all the desired sanitary ware including a washing machine for guest’s convenience. From the property guests can conveniently reach within minutes by car, the centre of Lenno which is the oldest village on Lake Como and which nowadays offers supermarkets, banks, pharmacies along the main lake road and a picturesque unspoilt lakefront with pretty piazza, cafes, bars, restaurants and a passenger ferry along the water’s edge. The Lido di Lenno offers a very pleasant family-friendly sandy beach with lounge bar and which turns into a fantastic evening lakefront restaurant, bar and nightclub in the evenings. The beautiful Villa del Balbianello with its heavenly and truly inspiring gardens is the jewel in Lake Como’s crown and sits on the peninsular on the more remote side of the wooded bay of Lenno. It can be reached either by taxi boat from the Lido or by foot, through the woodland footpath which begins by the Lido and which leads through the lush shady grounds to the main Villa entrance. A regular bus and ferry service operates from the centre of the village and the other Lake Como attractions and towns of Tremezzo with its cafes, restaurants, villas, lake view Park and pretty Church, the resort town of Menaggio with its direct ferry links to Bellagio and Varenna and Villa Carlotta are all easily accessible by car from Lenno. | |||||||||||||||||||||
